Prior to launching DAM Ltd, David had a long career as a national newspaper editor/reporter (1988-2004). David was International Editor and Columnist for the Daily and Sunday Express from 1994-2004. He also worked across a range of national newspapers and magazines, including The Sunday Times, The Irish Times and the Sunday Independent. In addition, David was a Conde Naste global magazine columnist for many years and a senior writer/editor at World Entertainment News Network (WENN).

Along with his film and television production work, David is a well known commentator on social and current affairs and has published many papers and essays for online and print publications. 

His recent literary collection, Ghost Runners of the White Mountains is available on Amazon. Earlier in his working life David was an actor (he trained at Mountview Academy) and appeared in many television and stage productions in the 1980s. David attended selected entry state grammar school Dr Challoner’s School for Boys ((Amersham, Buckinghamshire) followed by the University of Essex, where he read English and European Literature.
