David Andrews is based in Brighton, East Sussex, (UK). Over a long career working for national news and magazine publications, both online and in print, David has written and edited a wide variety of published work. More recently he is enjoying a growing reputation for his travel, observational and photo-journalism. James Salter and Ernest Hemingway, Cormac McCarthy , Evelyn Waugh, WG Sebald, Graham Greene, Harold Pinter, Tom Wolfe, Thom Jones….all have had a significant impact on David’s literary style.
His collection of short stories for Amazon e-readers, thematically based on war-torn Europe in the first half of the twentieth century – Ghost Runners of the White Mountains – was well received and is regularly recommended on international literary forums and websites. David writes regular blogs, ghost writes on a wide range of subjects, and is an occasional lecturer at the University of Sussex. He is currently working on a new collection of short stories and a theatrical adaptation of The Haunting of Lieutenant Carmichael MC.
